Hi, My name is Nathan Weston, I am an Engineer from the University of Florida- GO GATORS. I began my career in leak detection after the earthquake in northern California.earthquake3.jpg (7610 bytes) Since then, I have relocated to Florida, where the demand in leaking pools has taken over. I wrote these programs to clear up any misconceptions about leak detection and to show how easy it can be.

Don't Ignore that leak, Find it and Stop It! I've been in the leak business for 18 years and have looked at over 16,000 pools, and there is nothing better for you than this program, I promise! Its not complicated, a 10 year old can grasp these ideas.

bucket test

A good way to measure the water loss in a pool is the "bucket test" Place a bucket on the steps and fill with water up to the water level of the pool.

Mark a line at the water level and watch it from day to day. Put a Stone in the bottom to keep it from floating. Most pools I look at loose 1/2" per 24hrs. As a rough rule: All pools loose more water with the pump on: Most people think this must be the plumbing at high pressure, Not always, A leak will slow because leaves and debris clog a leak as soon as the pump shuts off. This also means you must look for leaves stuck in strange places.

My guides use DYE TESTING to find a leak.   It is simple and effective, and there are a few Pro-tricks to find the hidden leaks which I will show you. With my help, you can even find some broken pipes without too much trouble.   Each pool type has a tutorial divided into about 7 sections that deal with lights, bottom drains, skimmers, tiles etc. Each section takes about 2 minutes to understand. (You can print the sections to your  printer if you want to, or you have a 60 days to look them over). It is a good idea to look at the lid of your skimmer to see what type it is before you begin.

I want to teach you the easiest way to find  the leak and the right way to find a leak. There is an old saying,"give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime" What's great is that your pool is at your own house and you can monitor your results. Its like diving for pennies! It is so simple and effective you will not even have to drain your pool. You will learn a lot about your own pool with a 90% chance of solving your problem without any repair bill.

I encourage you to learn from me, and use these methods, not only will you solve your problem this time, next years leak is coming soon, and you will know what to do.  Many customers have been delighted with my internet program. "Its very informative and full of good ideas".

SLAB LEAK SECTION: Many plumbing leaks under buildings and houses can be found with the methods describe in this section. This does not apply to broken pool pipes.- each type of broken pool pipe is described in its own section. The slab leak section is more difficult and not for the "mechanically challenged" The other pool programs are easy and everyone should be able to do. With the slab program, you stand a 80-90% chance of finding the leak, but you must go through the cement slab and repair the pipe, or find some one else too. With pro leak detectors charging $250 a leak, it is possible to save alot of money with this program.
